Great Persons who Died Recently ! in September 2013

Sir David Frost: Veteran British journalist and broadcaster, best known for his series of interviews with disgraced US President Richard Nixon, died on 1 September 2013, at age 74.

Ray Dolby: Who founded Dolby Laboratories, transformed cinema and home entertainment with the development of Dolby digital surround sound, died on 12 September 2013. He was 80.

Salustiano “Shorty” Sanchez: Recognized by Guinness World Records as the world’s oldest man, he died on 14 September 2013, at age 112, in New York, USA. Sanchez was born in El Tejado de Bejar, Spain, in 1901 and worked as a sugarcane field worker in Cuba before immigrating to the United States, where he found work in Kentucky coal mines. With his death, the world’s oldest man now is Arturo Licata of Italy, at 111. The greatest authenticated age for any human is 122 years, 164 days by Jeanne Louise Calment of France.
