Shah Rukh Khan
Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan on 4 October 2014 received Global Diversity Award 2014 at the Britain’s House of Commons. He was conferred the award by House of Commons speaker John Bercow for his outstanding achievements in the field of cinema and his involvement in philanthropic endevours.

Earlier, Shah Rukh has been honoured with several international awards, like Chevalier de la Legion d’Honneur (France’s highest civilian award), Wissame Al Kafaa Al Fikria (Morocco’s highest honour), Malaysian title of Datuk (akin to the British knighthood) and others.

The past recipients of the award include Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Hollywood actor Jackie Chan, Sheikh Hasina (Bangladesh Prime Minister), Roberta Gutman, Lewis Hamilton and others.

The award is instituted by Rainbow Foundation. It is presented to an outstanding individual who has made a major contribution to worldwide diversity and is an international role model and icon.
