Mysuru city has been declared as the cleanest city in India -Swachh Sarvekshan Survey 2016
Mysuru Under the Swachh Sarvekshan 2016, 73 cities has been surveyed by the Quality Council of India on the basis of cleanliness and sanitation. Mysuru city from Karnataka has topped the list followed by Chandigarh, Tiruchirapalli, New Delhi Municipal Council, Visakhapatnam, Surat, Rajkot, Gangtok, Pimpri-Chindwad and Greater Mumbai, etc., and Dhanbad from Bihar has ranked the lowest. The survey has been conducted to measure the impact of efforts under Swachh Bharat Mission for construction of toilets, solid waste management and service delivery level.
