Rani-ki-Vav
\nUNESCO\u2019s World Heritage Committee (WHC) in Doha, at its 38th session, has inscribed the 11th century step-well of the Solanki era, Rani-ki-Vav, in Patan, Gujarat, as a world heritage site. It is Gujarat\u2019s second world heritage property to be placed on UNESCO\u2019s coveted list after Champaner-Pavagadh archaeological park.<\/p>\n
The step-well bears testimony of queen Udaymati\u2019s love for her husband king Bhimdev-I of the Solanki period and was built between 1063 AD and 1068 AD.
