The civil services Indian Administrative Service (IAS) interview is conducted by the UPSC. This IAS interview is not the only examination that is conducted by the UPSC. The UPSC full form is Union Public Service Commission. The UPSC examinations are considered to be one of the most significant competitive examinations across the country. It is important for the candidates to clear the IAS examination that is conducted by UPSC. However, it is more important to clear the IAS Interview. This article is a ready reckoner guide for all the aspiring candidates about the tips to prepare and crack the IAS interview.

 

 

  • Be Thorough with your DAF – Firstly, the full form of DAF is, detailed application form. In simple DAF is nothing but your resume or CV. Go through your DAF thoroughly and prepare well for the questions that might be asked in the fields like – Hobbies, past working experience, preferred locations, education etc.,
  • Keep the current affairs at your fingertip – Do not make that mistake of not being aware of the current affairs that are happening around you. Keep yourself updated with the current affairs in the fields like – the current government policies,  the Yojanas laid down by the Indian government, elections etc.,
  • Mock interview – Make sure to attend a few mock interviews. This helps in understanding what type of IAS interview questions would be asked during the actual interview.
  • A good body language – Concentrate on your body language, posture and appearance. You will be judged based on these attributes. Make sure that you stay calm and listen to the interviewers’ questions carefully. Stay attentive.
